• Dear John Kerry: diplomacy with Iran, you're doing it wrong.


• Neocons are still screaming for us to bomb Iran. They'll probably continue screaming for it even after a generation of peace, the same way many conservatives still can't believe that the Cold War is over.


• Today three members of the US House of Representatives announced their retirement. Two, Wolf (R-VA) and Latham (R-IA), are moderate Republicans in close districts where Democrats have a good chance to win. One, Matheson (D-UT), is a blue dog Democrat in a solid red district who was likely to lose a re-election bid. Combined, these retirements give the Democrats a slightly better chance of taking the House in 2014 than they had yesterday.


• The verdict is in: if you're eating a healthy, balanced diet, stop taking multivitamins. More here. Naturally, Slashdot has a discussion.


• I know this didn't involve necromancy, but I'll admit, I did a double-take.
