maxomaiJEERS to the ongoing push for war in Iran. The latest and dumbest:
JEERS to Mitt Romney for repeating this stupid lie again. If Obama's responsible for high gas prices, then Mittens is responsible for trans-vaginal ultrasound legislation. Or, for that matter, for the sun going down.
CHEERS to Only In New York. A newly-discovered species of tree frog has been found, and it lives exclusively in the NYC metro area. The habitat itself is centered on Yankee Stadium. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Manhattan, since its natural habitat there disappeared long ago, but maybe someone can spearhead an effort to get them back into Central Park? That would be too cool.
FEH to naturally caffeine-free coffee. Doesn't that kinda, you know, defeat the purpose of coffee?
- Netanyahu is ginning up support for war with Iran in Israel. Are the Washington establishment geniuses doing the same here in America? Is that, in fact, what President Obama is doing here? Is the sky blue?
- More FUD from the National Post: Iran having nukes would make deterrence harder. So, I suppose, would an army of unicorns. Nonetheless, the author does make a good point:
Iran doesn’t need nuclear weapons to restore stability to the region. It has diplomatic support from Russia and China, and is clearly willing to endure crippling sanctions. There’s an argument to be made that Iran had good reason to think it needed nukes in 2003, when U.S.- or NATO-led armies had toppled the regimes on either side of it in Iraq and Afghanistan. But a lot has changed since then, and not in the West’s favour. An Iranian bomb simply isn’t needed anymore to reassure the mullahs that the West will stay out. We can’t afford to go in.
- Iran is telling the West: "if you want more transparency, we want more cooperation; because, frankly, we simply don't trust you guys." More on this here. Can we blame them?
