maxomaiCHEERS to finally going after the banks that started the recession. The US is suing Bank of America and JP Morgan on the grounds that they lied to Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac about the mortgages underpinning mortgage-based securities. That said, I expect this lawsuit to disappear the within a week of the next Republican taking the White House, since that's pretty much what happened to the Microsoft antitrust suit. Yes, that's another reason to hold your nose and vote for Obama.
JEERS to false flag attacks. I absolutely, positively believe Hillary Clinton when she says that the United States isn't committing terrorist atrocities in Iran, including the recent assassination of an Iranian scientist. Why? Here's why. Aren't these guys supposed to be our friends? Isn't that what their leaders and ours keep telling us?
CHEERS to This girl (YouTube). She gives me hope that the unconscious moral underpinnings behind the anti-contraception and anti-abortion movements might soon find themselves in the Santorum heap of history where they belong.

Date: 2012-01-13 09:18 pm (UTC)Considering Israel can take care of itself, our slavish devotion to them is hurting us with Islamic states as well as just anyone with half-a-brain who clearly sees what Israel is doing to the Palestinians. Yes the Palestinians have brought much of it upon themselves in days past but that was then and NOW it is Israel who is doing the wrong thing. I mean to me their brutish annexing of territory is no different than Germany annexing Austria. Funny how quickly oppressed people can turn into oppressors themselves.
