- The Battle for Ukraine has begun in Slovyansk (2) and Odessa, and Russia is threatening further action. War is imminent; if you're in Ukraine, consider getting out.
- Target is set to offer more secure credit cards. But, even those new cards have problems (PDF).
- Yahoo! stops honoring "do not track" settings, meaning that they'll collect your data even if you opt out. Unlike their earlier dick move of rejecting emails that don't follow the new authentication protocol, thus crippling every Yahoo! email account from using mail lists, this dick move is completely deliberate.
- Four years after manufacturing a few atoms of element 118, we've finally managed to manufacture element 117. Clever monkeys, aren't we?
