• Since we're in the land of Maybe: maybe, to counter the "another responsible gun owner" (followed by a story of an irresponsible gun owner) meme being spewed by the leftie bloggosphere, the rightie bloggosphere should start an "another responsible pot smoker" meme, with stories like this one. Or, maybe we can quit trying to ban things because we hate the people who use them.


• According to the conservative bloggosphere, This executive order banning re-importation of military weapons likely means no more WWII-issue M1 Garands for the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Right? Maybe not.

I think the problem is a lot of people can't seem to differentiate between risk levels. Irresponsible behavior is part of the human existence. Someone is ALWAYS going to do bad things. The question is the risk. Frankly high magazine weapons raise the risk level especially if one adds alcohol to the mix.

Like so many things in life, just because you want to put restrictions on X doesn't mean that Y needs the same ones. Quite frankly so much of the "debates" on so many issues of late are on the caliber of elementary school. I expect a "Nuh-uh!" from a Senator any day now.
