Monday Miscellany!
Jul. 19th, 2015 08:26 pmJust another Manic Monday....
- Remember when Netroots Nation was called Yearly Kos, the only major Democratic candidate not to show up was Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton quickly changed her mind after the announcement that her session was canceled was met with a chorus of boos? I remember! I was there with SC! And oh, how times have changed! I guess that's what happens when the "netroots" become an appendix of the Democratic Party messaging machine.
- How is Donald Trump's candidacy helping Hillary Clinton? More here.
- Bibi Netanyahu might be the Iran deal's best spokesperson.
- First it turns out the Chattanooga shooter (who was, our conservative friends are eager to remind us, a Muslim) isn't linked to ISIS. Now it turns out he was actually ... wait for it ... mentally ill. Now what?
- What's less surprising: that cheat-on-your-spouse site Ashley Madison got hacked and the hackers are threatening to expose its entire user base, or that the site owners (who also own Established Man, which the hackers also want shut down) had essentially set up a blackmail scheme?
- I'm starting to like Witch House more. (I know, I know, it's not really a genre, whatever.) It reminds me of early Thrill Kill Kult. Check out oOoOO and White Ring, for example.
