• Obama's tax plan polls better than the Republicans' tax plan, according to lean-R pollster Rasmussen.


• The Republican counter-spin on Mitt Rommey lying about his tenure at Bain Capital is now out, and it's OMG LOOK CONDI RICE SQUEE!.


• There's also the counter-spin being floated by Sean "Slanthead" Hannity that the President's attacks are dishonest. Note the concern trolling tone of the story, too. Just remember, kids, that when it comes to the Bain Capital lie, we have Mittens dead to rights.


• Speaking of unlogic, we have this tidbit from the NRA (of which I am a life member): "if you support mandatory campaign finance disclosure, you are anti-gun." Let's put aside that this claim is "screaming man with bell and sandwich board" nuts. You would think that, for all the hysterical whining these guys do about George Soros and secret conspiracies to enact gun bans, the NRA would want disclosure laws so they could uncover the proof of such nefarious activities. Well, you guessed wrong. Which makes me wonder who the NRA-ILA is taking money from other than their four million members (down, apparently, from five million in 2000).


• Jeff Knox calls for a special prosecutor for Fast and Furious. Personally, I'm all for it. Not that I expect it to happen any time soon. I'm still waiting for a special prosecutor to look into the much much more outrageous matter of the Bush Administration's crimes against humanity, e.g., waterboarding, and I suspect I'll be waiting until the heat death of the Universe for that.
