• President Obama yesterday signed a security deal with Afghanistan that goes until 2024. Although the details are unclear right now, the President reassured the nation that we would not build permanent bases in Afghanistan, we would not patrol their cities, and we would be out by 2014. The details, he said, will be hammered out at the NATO summit later this month. You know, the one in Chicago, where they plan to house prisoners in the old Joliet prison and will have a no-fly zone enforced with a shoot to kill order. You can bet that every anti-war protester that can spare the time will be present on the streets to ensure that NATO does its level best to get out of the AFG ASAP.
