Wednesday Miscellany!

• Russia claims they don't want to take over East Ukraine while their special forcessympathizers take over the regional capital city Luhansk.
• US SEC Chair Mary Jo White maintains that the stock markets aren't rigged. Well then, explain this shit?
• Oklahoma injected Clayton Lockett with a lethal cocktail of drugs which eventually killed him. This was their intention. But, it didn't go as planned, with the prisoner dying in plainly evident pain and horror as opposed to politely cloaked pain and horror. Now they're investigating what went wrong. These people are craven hypocrites. The humane (as in, causing arguably the least suffering) thing to do would have been to just blow his brains out with a 10 gauge.
• If we're going to have a discussion on Christian Patriarchy (as opposed to other forms of patriarchy; also as opposed to Christianity), it would help if we all understand exactly what we mean by Christian Patriarchy. It's a particular phenomenon, fairly recent, and because it's recently become a derisive term, it's the subject of many a moved goalpost. Kinda like the word "censorship."
