The recovery is unimpressive again, and it's not a coincidence that gas prices are going back down as a result. There is a predator-prey relationship between gas prices and the rate of economic growth. The faster we get off oil as our main source of transportation energy, the better we will get through the coming peak oil shocks. Which is why Congress's defunding of wind/solar/renewable subsidies is all the more infuriating, short-sighted and stupid.
